Local Acadiana Man Lending A Helping Hand After Hurricane Laura

Local Lafayette resident Rickey Kidder Jr. is doing all he can to help those in need around the Lake Charles area.

Many people have been trying to find a way to get much-needed supplies to the people of Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.   Kidder’s inlaws are from the hurricane-stricken area and have been staying with him because they cannot get back to their home.

In the past week, Rickey has been going back and forth to Lake Charles and the surrounding areas to bring food, ice, gas, and other supplies people may need.  He has another trip planned for this weekend, as he began loading his trailer this morning (Thursday) with more donations.

If you would like to help, and donate any supplies, feel free to contact Rickey Kidder Jr. on Facebook or you can drop by supplies any time during the day at 420 Orangewood Dr. in Lafayette.

Rickey also set up a donation link on his Facebook page as well, and monetary donations will help with everything from living expenses to household supplies.
