Jeni Lane is a Morning On-Air Personality for 99.1 KXKC. The show airs Monday-Saturday from 6am-10am.
While on a field trip to a television station in the 6th grade. After graduating from high school, she attended college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio/Television with an emphasis in News and a Minor in Sociology.
Out of college, Jeni began her career in television as a news producer for a couple of years before a radio station ran across an old tape she had submitted while in school and contacted her to come work with them ~ "just on the weekends, it'll be fun!" It wasn't long before Jeni left the doom & gloom of the news for the unpredictable spontaneity that is Radio.
Along the way, Jeni has had some exhilarating life experiences. From her near-miss with the bombing while working at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . . . to hand-feeding the largest alligator in captivity in the state of Texas . . . to attending the Grammys a few years ago.
An enthusiasm for life is what keeps Jeni continuously motivated! She enjoys spending time with her 4-legged kids ~ Oliver, Matilda, & Marley. Among several things she enjoys in life, Jeni loves to travel, cook (check out her healthy recipes posted), garden, and work up a good sweat at the gym!
